Fat Lime Putty - Non-Hydraulic Lime

Minimum Order of 10 Bags

There is a minimum order of 10 bags, single bags can only be collected from our yard.

Made by slaking Quick Lime (Calcium Oxide) in an excess of water and allowed to mature for a minimum of 3 months. For pointing, under coat plaster and renders. The resulting fat lime needs air exposure to set, the lime absorbs carbon dioxide which over time sets back to Calcium Carbonate (Limestone).

Lime putty can be mixed with all types of sand to produce mortar. We would recommend the use of a angular grained sand.
