Goat Hair for Lime Plasters & Renders (1kg)

We supply a wide range of natural animal hair for teasing into Lime Mortars. The hair is added to the mortar for use on Lime Plasters�& Renders for strength, it acts as a reinforcing to the mortar. Goat Hair should be lightly scattered over the mortar in a thin layer, the goat hair needs to be chopped into the mortar with a trowel or shovel. If the goat hair is not put into the mortar this way it will simply (ball up), and will not separate.

To test the amount of hair in the mortar, take a trowel full of the mortar and gentle tap the base of the trowel on a object. The hair should hang down from the side of the trowel, you will need approximately 5-8 hairs per inch for basic base plaster. The Goat Hair is best used in base coat plasters.

� Course Fibre for adding to Lime Plasters & Renders, can be used non listed buildings. Course Fibre can be easily be mix into the Lime Mortar, quicker then traditional animal hair.
� Course Fibre's are best used for base coat Lime Plaster & Renders when being spray applied.
This 0.9kg bag will do around 1 ton of Lime Plaster or Render.
